FENCE - modify or view the geofence settings

 

If the geofence is ENABLED and the current time is between the begin and end HOURS, then when the vehicle moves more than __ feet away from the geofence HOME, Van Tracker will start sending alerts to the owner's phone.  For an explanation of how geofences work, click the image below and watch the commands overview videos.

Options

• Fence status

  • responds with the current settings​

• Fence home

  • set the vehicle's current location as ​the center of the geofence

• Fence ​hours __  __

  • sets the begin and end hours that the geofence ​is active every day

• Fence radius __​

  • sets the size (in feet) of the geofence.  When the vehicle moves this far away from HOME, Van Tracker will send an alert

• Fence enable​

  • turn on alerts (during the begin and end hours)

• Fence disable​

  • turn off alerts​

Examples

• Fence hours 23 7

  • Sets the geofence's hours from 11pm to 7am​

• Fence hours 2 2​

  • Any number repeated means 24 hours a day​

• Fence radius 500​

  • Sets the geofence's radius to 500 feet (this is the recommended size)​

• Fence home​

• Fence enable
